Veinte años de Rage Against the Machine

La banda norteamericana celebra el veinte aniversario de su debut con una reedición especial del mismo.

Qué lejos queda 1992. Qué jovenes éramos, incluidos unos jovenzuelos llamados Rage Against the Machine que irrumpían con fuerza en el panorama musical con un álbum homónimo que sorprendía por su fuerza, su mezcla de sonido y su mensaje político. Era el 10 de noviembre del citado año cuando esta obra salió al mercado, hace ya veinte años, y ahora la banda californiana quiere celebrar esta fecha publicando una edición especial del trabajo.

XX es el nombre elegido para esta reedición que presentará distintos formatos (gran caja llena de sorpresas, versión CD+DVD y versión CD) y que, como suele ser normal en estas ocasiones, estará remasterizada. La caja completa además del álbum irá acompañada de caras B, la primera maqueta grabada por el grupo, además de dos dvds, el primero con el concierto completo que R.A.T.M. dieron en el Finsbury Park de Londres en junio de 2010, además de videos musicales y en directo desde 1997. El segundo dvd tiene el aliciente de contener la primera actuación de la banda allá por el año 1991 en la Universidad Estatal de North Ridge, acompañada de otras realizadas entre ese mismo año y 1994. Todo esto rematado con la edición en vinilo, un libro de fotos y pósters.

La fecha para el lanzamiento de esta reedición será el 27 de noviembre, y desde la web del grupo ya se puede ir reservando, eso sí el precio de la caja será de 136 dólares, así que habrá que ir ahorrando.
